Malaysia: RHB Islamic Bank is Promoting Financial Inclusion

PETALING JAYA, Malaysia – Through the Kad Prihatin Siswa Project, RHB Islamic Bank Bhd seeks to promote financial inclusion among Malaysian adolescents, particularly university students.

According to RHB Islamic Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Adissadikin Ali, the program developed in partnership with the Higher Education Ministry demonstrates the bank's commitment to financial inclusion.

To broaden financial inclusion, Mr. Adissadikin stated that RHB Islamic plans to activate Kad Prihatin Siswa at 20 public universities in Malaysia by May of this year.

He explained that over the next five years, RHB Islamic intends to provide bank services and specifically designed RHB debit cards that also function as matriculation identity cards to 1.2 million students from 20 public universities around the country.

The card also provides students with cashless payment options and unique discounts and promotions.
